It is hard to believe that it has been 1 year since the COVID-19 Pandemic has begun. We at Beauty Lounge are so appreciative of your continued support during this unprecedented time. We would not be here if it was not for you all. We are also happy to announce another important milestone at Beauty Lounge! In June, our doors will have officially been open for 5 years!

Mother's Day

Mother's Day is quickly approaching! What is a better gift than pampering all of the special Moms in your life? We will be selling beautiful gift baskets that will be available to pre-order and pick up at the office. Beauty Lounge's Small Business Spotlight

This month's shoutout is a little bit different. While it is not a small business, I have had the pleasure of coaching the University of Florida's Club Cheerleading program. These ladies have worked extremely hard this season, especially in the constant unknowns of the COVID- 19 Pandemic, and I could not be more proud of them. In just one week, the Blue team will hit the competition floor in Daytona, FL for the 2021 NCA College Nationals.

A little more about the team:

TheUniversity of Florida Club Cheerleading (UFCC) is a student-run program that is organized through RecSports at UF. We are an all-girl competitive cheerleading program with two teams: Blue and Orange. Blue team is very similar to a typical competitive cheerleading program, as we practice 3x a week and have about 6 performances a year, including NCA Nationals. Orange is a unique team that competes as individual stunt groups and also has about 4-6 performances a year.

What makes this program unique is, though we represent the University of Florida, we receive little to no funding and must fundraise it all by ourselves and with the help of our sponsors. We are also dedicated to being involved in our community through service projects. Last year, our team raised over $16,000 for program and uniform expenses as well contributed over 581 volunteer service hours!
